She has been called in for a second round of questioning. She appeared before the agency in connection with a drug-related case. Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari | No Rating Movie Review | Diljit Dosanjh | Manoj Bajpayee

<p>A quintessential Bollywood comedies — a mix of romance and drama — Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari makes you laugh a little with its brainless humour. Sometimes it's over the top funny and sometimes below average, but on a whole, a decent watch. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the film stars Diljit Dosanjh, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Manoj Bajpayee in leading roles. And with a bunch of seasoned actors as the supporting cast, the film gets its groove. Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari is a story of Madhu Mangal Rane play by Manoj Bajpayee who is a wedding detective and is out to find the last man standing to save future brides from falling for the wrong guy. His current tally stands at 48 potential grooms, and the 49th turns out to be closer home, when 'Doodhwala' Suraj Singh Dhillon played by Diljjit Dosanjh falls in love with Rane's sister Turshi Rane played by Fatima Sana Shaikh. Will Rane let his sister have her love or will the detective take over and do what he's best at - breaking marriage. A family comedy, the film releases on November 15 in theatres and happens to be the first one to have a theatrical release after eight months of the nationwide shutdown.</p>

Asif Basra death: Kareena Kapoor, Pooja Bhatt, Manoj Bajpayee pay tribute

<p>Bollywood stars, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anushka Sharma, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Manoj Bajpayee, on Thursday expressed grief over the death of actor Asif Basra. Basra, who featured in several popular films including “Jab We Met”, “Kai Po Che!” and web series “Paatal Lok”, was found dead in a private residential complex in Dharamshala, the police have said. <p>Former India World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev greeted fans on the occasion of Diwali. Sharing a video on Twitter, the former India cricketer wished for everybody's happiness. Dev, who underwent angioplasty last month, said he's healthy and his heart is operating well. Dev was admitted to a hospital on October 23 after he complained of chest pain. The former India skipper then underwent an angioplasty and was discharged on October 25. Earlier, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan shared a throwback post to wish fans on Diwali. The photo showed him celebrating the festival with wife Jaya during their younger days. The couple could be seen enjoying the festival with some sparklers. The Bachchan family has reportedly decided to cancel their annual Diwali party this year. The family, otherwise, is known for their lavish Diwali parties.</p>

‘Paatal Lok’ actor Asif Basra found dead in his Himachal home

<p>Asif Basra, who starred in web series Paatal Lok and film Kai Po Che, has died at 53. The actor was found dead in a private complex in Himachal's Dharamshala. Police said that a forensic team is at the spot and they are probing the matter. Reports say that Asif had been living in a rented house in McLeodganj for the last 5 years. Filmmaker Hansal Mehta was among the first from the industry to react to Asif's death. The actor was last seen in the second season of Disney+ Hotstar series Hostages. Asif also starred as a senior executive in a media house in Amazon Prime's Paatal Lok. Asif also acted in films like Jab We Met, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Krrish 3, etc. Asif also starred in foreign productions like Quicksand and Outsourced. The 53-year-old actor also played a cameo in One Night with the King.</p>

Arjun Rampal summoned by NCB on Nov 13, Gabriella’s day 2 of questioning

<p><b></b>Actor Arjun Rampal's girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades reached the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office for day 2 of questioning. She appeared before the agency on November 11 November 2020. Arjun Rampal has been also been summoned by the NCB on November 13. On November 9, NCB officials raided Rampal's residence in Mumbai and seized his electronic gadgets. On Nov 8, film producer Firoz Nadiawala's house was also raided by NCB. In the raid at his house, officials found 10 grams of marijuana. Ncb arrested his wife Shabana Saeed in connection with a drug case. Shabana Saeed was granted bail on November 10. <p>Ludo is a kind of a film where even the smallest of distraction can make you miss out on the whole turn of events that follow. Directed by Anurag Basu, the film features an ensemble cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Rohit Saraf, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Pearle Manney and Pakaj Tripathi. Ludo is a modern age take on the circle of life and death and concept of hell and heaven. High on emotions, it's also a heady mix of comedy, drama, action, revenge, romance and thrill. There are four simultaneous stories going on — a tale of a leaked sex tape days before a marriage; a story of a dejected lover still smitten by his now married ladylove; heart-wrenching story of an imprisoned father who goes through the pain of not being able to see his daughter and lastly, a small town boy and a girl on the run with a suitcase full of money. These four wildly different stories are linked together by the deeds of an local gangster who's both eccentric and funny. With top notch performances and flawless storytelling, it's definitely at par with the standard of content that OTT platforms are churning.</p>

Brahmastra: Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt spotted at dubbing studio in Mumbai

<p>Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were clicked at a dubbing studio in suburban Mumbai. The two were presumably dubbing for their fantasy drama, Brahmastra. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra is Ranbir and Alia's first film together. Fans were happy to see Ranbir and Alia together. They also expressed excitement to watch Brahmastra. Earlier this month, the duo was joined by the Brahmastra team for a 10-day schedule in Mumbai. The film was scheduled to release in December 2020 after several delays. The release has, however, been pushed yet again owing to Covid-19 pandemic. Brahmastra also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Dimple Kapadia. Produced by Karan Johar, Brahmastra is the first instalment of an ambitious fantasy trilogy.</p>

Arjun Rampal’s girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades appeas before NCB in drug case

<p>Actor Arjun Rampal's girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades reached NCB office for questioning on Wednesday. Gabriella appeared before NCB in connection with a drug-related case. The narcotics agency also summoned Arjun after raiding his residence on Monday. Some electronic gadgets were seized and Arjun's driver was questioned. Last month, NCB arrested Gabriella's brother Agisilaos Demetriades in Lonavala. Agisilaos was allegedly in touch with peddlers who supplied drugs to Rhea's brother Showik. Over the last few months, NCB has cracked down on the use of drugs in Bollywood. Rhea Chakraborty was arrested for allegedly procuring drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput. The 28-year-old actor was granted bail after spending nearly a month in Byculla jail. Top stars including Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor were also asked to join the probe.</p>

Laxmii | No Rating Movie Review | Akshay Kumar | Kiara Advani | Hindustan Times

<p>A remake of Tamil film Kanchana (2011) directed by Raghava Lawrence, Laxmii stars Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in the lead roles and is directed by Lawrence himself. Given the kind of buzz that the film had been generating, mostly around Akshay's transgender character, Laxmii had set a high benchmark. Was it crossed? Not entirely. Or maybe not as successfully as you would have liked. Asif and Rashmi played by Akshay and Kiara are a married against their family's will, thus setting the ground for an interfaith subplot early on in the story. Asif is out to eradicate the superstitions around ghosts, by offering scientific explanations for supernatural events but later he gives in to one such situation himself when he gets possessed by a spirit of a transgender, who is set to take revenge on all those who wronged her. While Akshay is in full form, Kiara delivers a balanced performance and doesn't go overboard. The supporting cast including Ashwini Kalsekar; Ayesha Raza Mishra; Rajesh Sharma and Manu Rishi Chadha adds a tinge of wit and humor. Stealing the show in a 20-minute cameo is Sharad Kelkar as a trans woman. Music is just about okay but the song and dance numbers Burj Khalifa and Bam Bam Bholle are total paisa vasool.</p>

Actor Arjun Rampal summoned by NCB after raids at his house in Mumbai

<p>The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) summoned actor Arjun Rampal to appear before the agency on November 11 hours after conducting raids at his premises in Mumbai. Rampal's house was searched a day after NCB raided film producer Firoz Nadiawala's house. In the raid at his house, officials found 10 grams of marijuana. NCB arrested his wife Shabana Saeed in connection with a drug case. Four others were arrested who are accused of being drug peddlers. Earlier today Shabana was taken for a medical examination. In an interview with HT Entertainment Editor Jyoti Bawa, Pankaj and Anurag speak about the process of working on this ensemble film and Pankaj's character, Sattu, who is supposed to play the role of 'dice' or the catalyst in the film. “I have a sweet little love story in Ludo, this is the first time I am romancing in a film,” the actor drops. Ludo, to be released on November 12, also stars Abhishek A Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Rajkummar Rao, Rohit Saraf, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Sanya Malhotra, Pearle Maaney, Inayat Verma, Asha Negi and Shalini Vats. </p>
